The  House of Commons follows an agenda which always involves the business  of governing Canada. Nearly every day begins  with what are  called routine proceedings.  This segment includes such items as  tabling documents for the whole House to consider, statements made by Ministers on national issues, the presenting of committee reports, or introducing  government bills, motions  and  petitions. Another segment involves what are called government orders, which includes bills that must be debated before they become law.
